Kimi + Nick: Married

Kimi and Nick have a special place in my heart. I got my first camera last June for an anniversary gift from my hubby! I immediately started taking photos of friends and family, and I also quickly began to beg other photographers for an opportunity to second shoot with them. Little did I know, October of last year I would be contacted by my very first bride of my own! Kimi took a leap of faith, she trusted me before she really ever had a reason to! She saw something in me that she liked and she went for it. So, while their wedding wasn't until October of this year, and I had shot multiple weddings by the time theirs came around, she was still the very first bride to contact me, and I'm so glad she did!

Kimi and soon I became Facebook friends. Between her sweet emails that usually started with something along the lines of "Good morning, my wonderful photographer!" and her Facebook status updates about how great life is, it was easy to see from the very beginning I was going to be working with one of the most positive and uplifting brides I will probably ever work with! She adores her husband Nick, and after our original meeting, their engagement session, and their wedding it was easy to see. Nick adores her as well! And the way he interacted with Kimi brought one phrase to mind, "Happy wife, Happy life!" I'm pretty positive Nick lives by this one!

I guess I should warn you now, this is another long one! But narrowing down my favorites was not an easy task!

Kimi and Nick, I can't thank you both enough for taking a chance on me before anyone else did! You two will always have a special place in my heart, as I can remember the day I got your e-mail asking me to be your wedding photographer and jumping with excitement! You two are amazing people and I am so excited for you and your new lives together as Mr. and Mrs.

Chelsea + Andy Part II: Married

I'm behind on blogging, it's no secret. But this one I think was worth the wait! Yesterday I (back)blogged Chelsea and Andy's engagement session and now....onto their big day! I'm warning you now, this is a really long post, followed by one of my favorite slideshows thus far...so go grab a snack...or a meal because you could be here a while. :)

We started the day off at Chelsea's house where all of the girls got ready, then headed to New Town for Chelsea and Andy's first look and pictures before the ceremony! Once again, the day was so laid back because they opted to see one another before the ceremony, which allowed for all bridal party pictures and bride and groom portraits to be done before they even said their vows!

Andy's dad married Chelsea and Andy. There is something so special about someone so close standing up there with the bride and groom to guide them through the wedding ceremony. I might be a little bit bias, since my father in law married me and Adam, but that was one of the most special and memorable things about the entire day!

Chelsea and Andy had guests stamp a leaf on their "Wedding Tree" and sign their names. Such a cute alternative to the traditional guest book!

Thanks again to my little sister for being an awesome second shooter, bag carrier, and outfit giver upper!
Okay, maybe I should give the back story on this one. Danielle and I had a wedding the day before this one. Being pregnant and unable to fit into any of my clothes without feeling frumpy I was wearing a rather boring get up. Danielle show's up all cute in her gray dress and her black tights...well I wanted to feel cute too! But I live out of town...and all I had to wear was what I had on. Being the awesome second shooter and sister she is, Danielle traded outfits with me. Yes, she wore the over sized pregnant woman's mostly black attire, while I took the dress right off of her back. I know, I'm a terrible sister. BUT, I'm blaming pregnancy! This is the only time I would ever get away with anything like this...why not take advantage? Right?...Ok no, I'm still a horribly spoiled big sister. Hey, I let her keep the headband!
